The Louise Funk Fluke Memorial
Wunagisa Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution of Shawnee  plans to honor Louise Funk Fluke, the designer of the Flag of the State of Oklahoma by placing a permanent monument at the Centennial Park on Main Street, Santa Fe Depot Museum. The dedication ceremony will be held during Shawnee's Centennial Celebration on Friday 11:00 am, September 21, 2007.

Louise Funk was born in 1900 in Arkansas and came to Shawnee at the age of one year with her family. She graduated from Shawnee High School, married George Fluke December 18, 1924 here in Shawnee and is buried alongside the Fluke Family at Shawnee's Fairview Cemetery.
