Tammy Johnson, Dept:HR Position:Interim HR Dir / Mgr of Compensation and Benefits joined the City of Shawnee in October of 2001. Tammy holds a Bachelors of Science in Education from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Masters degree in Education from University Of Central Oklahoma. Tammy taught in the Shawnee Public Schools for 15 years, Worked as a claims examiner at Mutual of Omaha and was the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Woodward. Tammy administrates the insurance plans for all employees, retirement for for all non-union employees, and assists the safety officer with worker’s comp. Tammy is married

Lisa Brownell, Dept:HR Position:Mgr. Employee and Employment Relations Lisa is the newest member to this well rounded staff of HR professionals. Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and an Associate from Seminole State. While having been involved in different aspects of HR for many years, Lisa is very excited to work with the employees of the City of Shawnee and become a valuable asset to them. Lisa is looking forward to attaining her Master’s degree in HR Relations or related field. Lisa has three beautiful daughters. Lisa and her family are very active in their Church.

Terry Cook, Dept:HR Position:Mgr. Safety & Risk Management joined the City of Shawnee on June 30, 2003. Terry was born and raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Terry graduated from Shawnee High School in 1977. He also graduated with an Associate of Science degree from Seminole State Junior College in 1979. Terry attended some college at East Central and Oklahoma Universities. He has been in the safety field for 31 years both in the public and private sector. He has a Safety and Health Specialists Certified Program certificate from Oklahoma State University and an Advance Safety Certificate from the National Safety Council. Terry is married with 3 daughters, 1 son, 1 stepdaughter, 1 stepson, and 2 baby granddaughters. He loves the safety field and love to teach safety to other people. His ultimate goal in the safety field is to reduce accidents to an ultimate low for the City of Shawnee. His ultimate objective is to make sure that all employees have the tools they need to do their job and to go home with the same 10 fingers and toes they came to work with at the start of the day. Terry has an open door policy and want the employees to be able to express their feelings and concerns to me in order to provide a safe workplace for all of our employees.
