The Special Assignments Division is headed by Lt. Roy Gribble and is comprised of the
Criminal Investigation, School & Community Officers, and
the Gangs Unit.
Criminal Investigation houses 4 detectives that
investigate all cases turned in to CID, maintains CrimeStoppers, internal investigations,
AFIS and polygraph services. School officers are placed at Shawnee High School, Middle
School, and as well as one Housing Officer for the city. Special
Assignments also oversees the Community Relations Officer position that works with our
Citizen’s Police Academy, Neighborhood Watch Program, Santa’s Kids, and more.

Lt Roy Gribble - BIO
Joined the Police
Department as a patrol officer in 1985. Promoted to Senior Patrolman, and then obtained
the rank of Sergeant. Promoted to current rank of Lieutenant in . Holds Bachlors degree in criminal justice and holds an OK Advanced law enforcement certification. Has served as a field training
officer, an OK police instructor and a fire arms instructor. Graduated from the FBI National Academy.
Lt Gribble's current duties are Special Assignments Lieutenant, Gang enforcement unit commander and
Criminal Investigation supervisor.
