The purpose of the Shawnee Police Foundation is to financially supplement the Shawnee community in assiting the Police and the Community in Policing efforts

Shawnee law enforcement that is not otherwise provided Four Goals of the Shawnee Police Foundation: 1. Support advanced law enforcement training opportunities 2. Support community crime prevention activities and education 3. Assist with special equipment needs that are outside of the normal departmental budget 4. Assist in research, development, and implementation of programs to address challenges of providing police services of the highest quality
The Shawnee Police Foundation with the assistance of Police Department have identified some areas of need: Tasers - Radars - Special programs/equipment for school safety - Drug / Narcotics Enforcement -TAC Team equipment
