Solid Waste / Sanitation Collection

Sanitation TruckThe City of Shawnee has a contract with Allied Waste (formerly Browning Ferris Industries) to provide for the collection and disposal of household solid waste and refuse. Solid waste is collected from each residence once per week using a automated polycart system. This contract was renewed in June 2006 for up to six more years. Residents should insure they properly place the Polycart to allow for full automated pickup. Please read the helpful How to Use Your Polycart Brochure to learn how to use your Polycart.
