SHAWNEE MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY-RECYCLING

Recycling

The Shawnee Municipal Authority promotes the recycling of all types of paper, plastics, aluminum beverage cans, glass, and steel food cans. The community recycling drop off is located on the south side of the parking lot of the Homeland grocery store at 600 W Independence St (Kickapoo and Independence). All Plastics should have any food residue washed out of them. Containers are clearly marked for each recyclable item. You can empty your sacks/bags of recyclable materials into the containers. There is a polycart conveniently located in the recycle center to dispose of empty sacks/bags.

Sort all items and place them INSIDE proper blue containers provided.
