Transfer Station

The Central Disposal Transfer Station is now open.
Residents now have access to the Central Disposal Transfer Station located at 700 E. 45th Street in Shawnee. Shawnee residents who pay a City of Shawnee Garbage bill may dispose of 3 cubic yards (1 level pickup bed) per month at no charge. *Anything that you would bring to the landfill, you can drop off here in town! Bring your residential Water bill and matching ID.

Rules

  • No Smoking
  • Yield right of way to trucks
  • No Scavenging
  • Disposal allowed only in designated area
  • A Maximum of three (3) cubic yards of waste will be accepted from the same residential address at no charge during any one calendar month. Any owner or occupant bringing any volume of waste from the same residential address during any one calendar month in excess of three (3) cubic yards shall be charged the current rate for disposal
  • No Commercial dumping with residential water bill
  • All loads require weigh in/out
  • All loads subject to inspection
  • Operator reserves the right to refuse any load
  • Customer assumes all risks and liabilities to self and vehicle while on property
  • Gate Rate: $35/ton + $1.25/ton DEQ Fee, $25 minimum + $1.25/ton DEQ Fee

Directions

  • Take N Harrison St to stop light on E 45th St.
  • Turn West on 45th Street.
  • Central Disposal will be on the North side of the street.
