City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the City Manager, is the official custodian of City Records, serves as Clerk to the Board of Commissioners, prepares the agendas and minutes for the Board of Commissioners, Shawnee Airport Authority and Shawnee Municipal Authority, attends all Board of Commissioners meetings and keeps a record of all the proceedings, signs and attests all ordinances or other acts of the Commission.

City Commission meetings are held in the Commission Chambers at City Hall on the first and third Mondays of each month, except if it falls on a holiday, then it is held the following Tuesday.  The meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. and are open to the public.

All records requests, with the exception of accident reports, must be requested through the City Clerk's office.  To request records, please visit Records Request Information.  If you would like a copy of an accident report, please visit Police Department Accident Reports.

All ordinances and resolutions passed by the Board of Commissioners are filed in the City Clerk’s office and a separate index book listing the ordinance and resolution titles are maintained in the office.
