This page contains guidebooks that were developed by the City of Shawnee / Pottawatomie County Department of Emergency Management. With three seperate series available, the intention of this campaign is to educate and empower the citizens of Shawnee and Pottawatomie to prepare for, respond to and mitigate emergencies, both natural and man-made. A new guidebook is published every month. Our goal is to promote preparedness through public involvement.

Everyday, we face a multitude of hazards. From dangerous road conditions, severe weather and public health emergencies, to acts of terrorism and civil unrest. Even events such as drought can pose a risk to our health and well - being.
