Did you know there are free weather alerting apps available for both Android (GooglePlay) and iPhone (iPhone app store). Below, you will find links to several emergency alerting apps that you can sign up for to receive current alerts for your area. Many of these apps also give you the option on what types of alerts you can choose (tornado, flooding, lightning, etc.).

Red Cross

Receive weather alerts whenever the National Weather Service issues a tornado watch or warning for your community – or any location where you have loved ones. Text GETNADO" to 90999 for alerts specific to tornadoes or visit:

OK-WARN stands for Oklahoma Weather Alert Remote Notification - a service administered by the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management that provides notification of weather hazards and emergencies to deaf and hard-of-hearing Oklahomans via pager, e-mail or cell phone. Simply click on the registration form link and provide them the requested information to start receiving emergency alerts.
