The Shawnee Police Department has an officer assigned to work as the advocate for victims of domestic abuse. This officer assists the victims with the process, helps answer questions, and acts as a liaison for the victims. This officer is currently working under the VOCA (Victims of Crimes Act) Grant thru the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council. Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, Sexual Assault and Stalking are our main focus, but our victim advocate is available to all victims of crime.    

 The Shawnee Police Department has an officer assigned as an investigator at the Family Justice Center. This officer investigates domestic abuse and sexual violent crimes. This officer works with other investigators from other area law enforcement agencies who are assigned to the Family Justice Center.
