Where are you located and what are your office hours?
City of Shawnee Municipal Court is located in the southwest corner of the main lobby in City Hall at 16 West 9th Street. Beginning Monday, April 15, 2019, Municipal Court office hours are 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays. Municipal Court will be closed 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the lunch hour Monday through Friday.
Can I pay my citation(s) online?
Minor traffic offenses only may be paid online. All other offenses must appear in Court. The City of Shawnee Municipal Court offers online payments through our online payment site at https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/shawneeok. There are no convenience fees assessed to online payments.
What are the payment options or methods offered to pay my citation(s)?
We offer several different options to pay your citation(s). We accept cash, VISA and Mastercard credit/debit cards, money orders or cashiers check. We do not accept personal or business checks. You can choose to pay your citation(s) by any of the options listed:
(1) In person at the Municipal Court window at 16 West 9th Street;
(2) By mailing your payment to the Municipal Court at Post Office Box 1448, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74802-1448 (money order or cashiers check only; no cash);
(3) Pay online (no service fee assessed if paid online); and
(4) Call the Municipal Court at 405-878-1624 to pay by credit card (VISA and Mastercard) (no service fee assessed).
What happens if I do not pay my citation/fine or appear in court?
If you fail to pay your citation/fine or appear in court on or before the hearing date, a warrant may be issued for your arrest.
What do I do if I receive a citation for no mandatory insurance?
You must appear at the Municipal Court window with a copy of your insurance verification that was in effect during the time you received the citation. At that time, we will call the insurance company to verify the information you provide.
