SAFETY TIPS
Install Smoke Detectors Check Smoke Detector Batteries Check Smoke Detectors Monthly
Crawl Low Under Smoke If your clothes catch on fire, Stop, Drop, and Roll !!!!  
Plan escape routes in advance Keep matches away from children Be Prepared for Emergencies
If you smoke, use ashtrays Replace electrical cords that are frayed.  
Store gasoline outside your home. Keep all flammable liquids in original containers.  
Have your furnace checked every year by a professional Don't Drink & Drive

CHILD CAR SAFETY SEATS
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children ages 2 to 14, due in large part to the nonuse or improper use of child seats and seat belts. Working with parents and our partners, our goal is to ensure every child is properly secured and safe every trip, every time. The Shawnee Fire Department's Child Safety Seat Program teaches parents and caregivers how to properly install child safety seats into their vehicle. Certified car seat technicians will inspect, and install car seats.
