This document presents the final adjusted plans for the six parks: Kid’s Space Park, Briscoe Boy Scout/Rotary Park, Celebration of Life Park, Woodland Park, Optimist Park, and Dean Weigant Park. The development of these Parks will greatly improve the parks system, by providing new and improved features to increase safety and offer increased recreational opportunities to the citizens of Shawnee.
• Step one - citizen input including a public meeting and the completion of a statistically valid citizen survey
• Step two - inventory and assessment of existing parks
• Step three - development of strategies that can be used to upgrade the system as funds become available
The City of Shawnee offers over a variety of 30 parks! This includes playgrounds, pavilions, tennis courts, campgrounds a waterpark, and more! We also offer tons of facility rentals that can be found at Facility Rentals.
