Homeless Point-in-Time (PIT) Count Volunteers Needed

Shawnee, Oklahoma, January 18, 2023 – Volunteers are needed for the Homeless Point-in-Time (PIT) Count. Every year, cities across the nation conduct a PIT count.
EVERYONE COUNTS v2

During this project, dozens of volunteers canvass the streets in an attempt to count every person living outside and connect them to resources.
The count helps to plan services and programs to address local needs, measure progress in reducing homelessness, and identify strengths and gaps in the homeless crisis response system.

The PIT count will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Volunteers are needed at these times: 8am - Noon, Noon - 4pm, and 4pm - 8pm.
