City of Shawnee Strategic Plan Community Survey

Shawnee, Oklahoma, July 1, 2024 – As the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan development moves into its next phase, the City of Shawnee is excited to continue the creation of a guiding document that focuses on making Shawnee a safe, vibrant, and welcoming community.

In an effort to ensure that all citizens have an opportunity to participate in the strategic planning process, the City of Shawnee invites those who may be unable to attend one of the Citizen Engagement Sessions to review the Strategic Plan information and share their thoughts and opinions through the online Survey for the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan (or 
The survey link will remain active until 5:00 pm on July 10, 2024.

Committed to our citizens and the continued growth of Shawnee, the City Commission has identified the following six Major Goals as focus areas for the strategic planning effort:
- Improved Quality of Life
- Strategic Operational Growth
- Robust Economic Development
- Modernized Infrastructure
- Intentional City Growth
- Improved Housing Opportunities

Citizens are encouraged to review the 2023 Community Survey results, the outcome of the day long Strategic Visioning Session, and the high-level overview of the six Major Goal Areas.  This information was used to create the draft Strategic Plan that will guide the City’s efforts and investments over the coming years.
