Motorcycle Unit
Motor Officers are primarily assigned to traffic control, collision investigations, selective traffic enforcement, parades and special events. The Shawnee Police Department currently has some motorcycles which are completely electric. These motorcycles are environmentally friendly and can operate like any gas-powered motorcycle.
Motorcycles, like pedestrians and bicyclists, are hard to see from a moving vehicle. Please stay aware that motorcycles are on the road and help us keep them safe.
