Shawnee Twin Lakes - Safety & Regulations

It is time for fun in the sun at the Shawnee Twin Lakes. The Shawnee Police Department wants to remind everyone of a few things to keep you safe.
Don’t block roadways in the parks. It is important for police, fire, and ambulances to be able to respond to emergencies. Blocking the roadways can result in vehicles being impounded.
Keep glass containers off the beach and out of the parks. The broken glass can cause serious injuries.
Swimming is only allowed in the designated swimming areas. Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Children 8 years and younger must wear a certified life preserver.
