Cpl. Daniel Crisp Awarded First Responder of the Year
Cpl. Crisp has served in the Shawnee Police Department for ten years. He started in 2014 as a Patrol Officer and continued his career as a Street Crimes Investigator in the Criminal Investigative Division. In July of this year, he became a K-9 handler. Cpl. Crisp and K-9 Locke work Special Assignments and comprise of the Department’s Explosives Detection Unit. Part of the Detection Unit’s responsibility is to proactively maintain walk-throughs at City Hall and the Courthouse to make sure both are safe.
Prior to joining Shawnee Police Department, Cpl. Crisp served eight years in the National Guard and another three plus years at the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center.
Cpl. Daniel Crisp embodies the values of honesty, trustworthiness, and moral uprightness in all aspects of his life. Crisp and his K-9 partner, Locke, are incredible assets, and the City of Shawnee thanks them for their dedication and continued service.
